Today marks Beltane Eve (in the northern hemisphere), welcoming in the abundance and growth, prosperity of a good summer. Beltane comes three months after Imbolc (Feb 1st) which marked the start of spring in the old calendar and looks towards the longest day of light.
Traditions range from dancing around bonfires or maypoles and this day is celebrated across the world.
