There is a number sequence for the planetary glyphs that is not always apparent. This is the number pattern of 0-8, starting with 0 as that is the first important number to use. There is magic within the zero that is more than merely ‘nothing’. The clearest symbolic numbers are 0, 1/2, four and five.
The Number code
0 – The Sun

The glyph for the sun is a big circle or zero, representing the creation of life- the first cell, completion and the path of life. Remember that the sun is a star and not a planet, so zero seems doubly appropriate.
It is also apt that zero is a special number, the first number in any modern counting system
½ or 0.5 – The Moon

Next up we have the crescent moon, or half a moon. The Moon, also not a planet is the second most important object to earth. The sun provides heat, light radiation, etc. The moon’s orbital dance with earth creates wobbling and tidal movement.
1 – Mercury

Mercury represents communications and is the first whole number. This is the least understandable one from the glyph where Venus is essentially cut in half by the horned top. Communications is not only something between people. We interact and respond to our inner selves, the physical bodies and our environment.
2 – Venus

Venus is extension to others through love, the act of giving and receiving. The two represents two to be in a relationship, etc. It’s not so obvious in the glyph- but it is a union of the circle and the cross.
3- Mars

Mars is the fifth item, number 3 (yes, it does sound weird), also as the Earth is the third rock from the Sun. Here three represents power and control via the shape of a triangle at the top. Triangles are also a symbol for Mars. It brings about action, reaction and complications as well
4 – Jupiter

Jupiter’s glyph specifically looks like a stylised four, four is a figure of expansion, the triangle becomes the square. Tension is equal at 90°.
5- Saturn

Saturn’s glyph specifically looks like a stylised five, and five can be the pentagon or more aptly for spiritual folk- the pentagram. This expands the square expands out and now needs reason, logic and boundaries.
6 – Uranus

Uranus’s pattern is not quite so obvious, however take a look at it closer. The sign of the awakener has a reversed circle and long stem cross (denoting four) and antenna at the top ends.
7 – Neptune

Neptune is seven, the holy masculine number prevalent in the bible. The three prongs, three heads and the circular base.
8 – Pluto

Pluto is the planet that governs the path of death and renewal, the deep mystery (in association with the deep waters of Scorpio- the eight sign in the eighth house).
